It’s hard to believe that it was back at the height of the Global Recession in 2010 that RMS took the brave step to stage this fantastic show at the Millbank Theatre and made History by traveling with the set and full cast to Landskrona, a picturesque town near Malmo, Sweden. The largest company to ever take to the stage at this centuries-old Rikestheater which was a very memorable experience for all. RMS even had the Lord Mayor of Fingal, Alan Farrell accompany the society at the time!!!! That was then and this is now and all are delighted that Fiddler on the Roof has been chosen after many hours of deliberating by the committee for 2023. It was unanimously chosen from a pool of 21 top shows as there is a nice variety of character roles and beautifully moving songs for the chorus. Given that we are in the midst of the Ukrainian crisis this show is also very topical at the moment as it was set in Ukraine.
