AIMS Youth Summer School

The AIMS Youth Summer School is a weeklong residential workshop held annually. It introduces teenagers to various aspects of performing musical theatre. They get the opportunity to work with a professional director, choreographer and musical director. The course is designed to get the most out of the young people involved in it and as far as possible it will reflect their interests as well as broadening their horizons. As part of the week’s activities participants will be expected to take part in Improvisation, Mime, Dance, Singing (solo & choral) and Acting. The material chosen will be challenging and suited to their age. Over the week they receive practical tuition in these areas and then stage a concert for their family and friends at the end of the week.

The workshop is usually held at the start of July with bookings opening in March. Application forms are circulated to Society Secretaries and are available in our Downloads section.
