When wannabe disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be found - a convent! Renamed Sister Mary Clarence by a reluctant Mother Superior, Deloris wreaks havoc with her fellow sisters before transforming the choir into the most glorious musical act in town, hilariously blowing her cover completely.
