About the Event

Based on the 2007 film of the same name, and including songs such as the Academy Award-winning Falling Slowly, Gold, and Leave, Once has received widespread critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic, winning eight Tony Awards, two Olivier awards, and the Grammy for Best Musical Theatre Album.

With a book by Irish playwright Enda Walsh, Once tells the story of a musician from Dublin, identified only as ‘Guy’, and his fateful meeting with a young Czech woman, identified only as ‘Girl’. Brought together by a shared passion for music, a complex relationship develops that shows us the many faces of love and the unexpected paths they take us.

Featuring live music and a cast of some of Kildare’s finest performers, join us to experience one of the most captivating musicals ever created.
