A childless Baker and his Wife are tasked by a Witch to break a family curse. To do so, they must enter the woods and retrieve four items: a cow as white as milk, a cape as red as blood, hair as yellow as corn, and a slipper as pure as gold. Along the way, they cross paths with Cinderella, Jack (of beanstalk fame), and Little Red Riding Hood. By the end of the act 1, everyone secures their heart's desire and seemingly lives happily ever after. The story takes a dark, realistic turn however when a vengeful Giant (the widow of the one Jack killed) descends upon the kingdom. The characters must face the disastrous fallout of their earlier selfish choices. As death and tragedy strike the community, the survivors are forced to abandon their individual quests and work together to stop the Giant, ultimately learning that "no one is alone"
