Athlone Musical Society are proud to present their 2023 production of CHESS. The cast are already in full swing with rehearsals. The story involves a politically driven Cold War – era Chess tournament between two grandmasters, one American and the other Soviet, and of course there’s always a little bit of romance. Their fight over a woman who manages one and falls in love with the other.
