AIMS- The Association of Irish Musical Societies has been celebrating Ireland’s great love of musicals since its inception in 1965 and year on year this love affair grows members, numbers and musicals along the way. We are delighted to be taking to the stage with Ovation!- AIMS 60TH Celebration in The Convention Centre, Dublin on Saturday 11th of October where the greatest of amateur musical theatre will take to the stage and bring a touch of class to your Saturday night.


Every year over 130 amateur musical societies produce shows for their local community which in turn brings great joy, development and magic to the audience and cast alike. Earlier this year, following rounds of auditions many of this musical talent came from every corner of the country to be part of this night of musical celebration. This show will celebrate musicals in all their forms and will include plenty the audience will know including songs from Miss Saigon, Matilda and Jesus Christ Superstar to name a few and other musical gems that our audience may be hearing for the first time.



AIMS National PRO Kate Furlong commented: This is a night celebrating our collective great love…MUSICALS and in it it’s bringing some of Ireland’s brightest and best in amateur musical talent to the stage of The Convention Centre.


Our talented production of EJ Reilly ( Director), Shane Farrell ( Musical Director) and Jonny Smith (Choreographer) have been working with our talented cast to bring this celebration to life and a night of pure magic awaits.
