Celebrating its 30th year, Oyster Lane Theatre Group are thrilled to present their 2024 production - the Irish premiere of Alan Menken's hit show – ‘A Christmas Carol – the Musical’.

Under the direction of Tom O’Leary, musical direction of Patrick Clancy and choreographed by Jonny Smith, have no doubt that this heart-warming, energetic musical adaptation of the festive family tale will be the perfect start to your Christmas season!

Based on the 1843 novel by Charles Dickens and brought to life with beautiful music by Disney’s award-winning composer, Alan Menken (The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Beauty and the Beast, Sister Act, The Little Mermaid and Little Shop of Horrors) and Tony award-winning Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Seussical and Anastasia). Ebenezer Scrooge is a rich old miser who believes personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others. With an infuriated "Bah! Humbug!" Scrooge is forced to face his selfish ways when three ghosts on Christmas Eve lead him through his Past, Present, & Future.

Oyster Lane Theatre Group are delighted to bring this beautiful show, which features a plethora of leading and featured roles for young and old, as well as plenty of chorus involvement, to audiences in the Republic of Ireland for the very first time!
