Tramore Musical Society are proud to present Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer Prize winning rock opera 'RENT'. Based on the story of Puccini's 'La Boheme' RENT follows the lives of impoverished artists living in New York's Alphabet City in the early 1990s. While struggling to create, pay their rent and cope with fatal illness they document a year of their lives through Larson's well-loved score. A time capsule of a world where hope crawls out of dark despair, these Bohemians find the salvation of love within each other and prove there can be a better world where art thrives, and everything good is free.

RENT opened on Broadway in 1996 and ran for 12 years winning multiple Tony and Drama Guild awards. It is currently the 7th longest running show on Broadway and we are delighted to bring it to the people of Waterford with an all star local cast.
