Based on Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado, St. Agnes' Choral Society will have the stage on fire with their production of The Hot Mikado. The score, even though it uses much of Sullivan's original music, is reorchestrated using 1940s popular musical harmonies and arrangements and a wide range of styles, including jazz, hot gospel, blues and rock.
