St. Mary's Choral Society Clonmel is delighted to present this wonderful two-act rock opera, this year celebrating it's 40th Anniversary. Jesus Christ Superstar tells the story of the last seven days in the life of Jesus of Nazareth and features well known songs including: I Don’t Know How to Love Him, Everything’s Alright, Hosanna and Superstar. Producer/Director is Maureen Walsh, Musical Director is Laura Cotter, Choreography is by Gillian Hewitt-Fitzgerald and set design is by Diarmuid Vaughan. This is a show not to be missed! Principal players are Ian Purcell (Jesus), Diarmuid Vaughan (Judas), Aine Hennessy (Mary Magdalene), Derek Ryan (Caiaphas), Diarmuid Bolger (Annas), David Hughes (Pilate), Keith Greene (Herod), George Barry and Eoin Morrissey (High Priests) as well as a company of almost 100 society members playing various roles including Apostles, lepers, reporters, Roman Soldiers and including a junior cast of 45 children.
