I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair, Some Enchanted Evening and There is Nothing Like a Dame - just three of the timeless hits from Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic wartime romance musical, South Pacific.

Jenna Russell, playing the lead role of Nellie Forbush, has won acclaim for her performances in the West End, on Broadway, with the Royal Shakespeare Company and on TV. Her performance as Dot in Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George earned her the 2007 Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical and a Tony nomination.

Maria Ewing, playing Bloody Mary, is not only a legendary vocalist but has won a reputation as a striking actress. This is a rare chance to catch Maria in Dublin. Jenna and Maria join a top international cast, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and a hand-picked professional chorus to make an unforgettable presentation, deserving of this classic. All of this under the direction of Shaun Ellison ‒ critically acclaimed across Broadway and at the BBC Proms for his finesse.

Now the RTÉ Concert Orchestra Principal Guest Conductor and unrivalled Rodgers & Hammerstein aficionado John Wilson is joined by world-class vocalists in an enchanting concert performance of this multiple Tony Award-winning favourite. Expect John Wilson to show the audiences exactly why he has become one of the most talked-about conductors of recent times, and why his Rodgers & Hammerstein album last year shot into the top 20 of the British pop charts - pure musical class!
