The AIMS Youth Summer School, is a weeklong residential workshop held annually in Thurles. It introduces teenagers to the various aspects of performing musical theatre. They get an opportunity to work with a professional director, choreographer and musical director. Over the week they receive practical tuition in these areas and then stage a concert for their friends and family at the end of the week.
With increasing numbers each year applying for the Summer School, it is a sure indicator of the popularity of musical theatre with today's youth and a good indicator for the future sustainability of this thriving part of Irish life. This is an excellent workshop to help develop the younger members of your society and aspire them to develop their full potential.
The 2016 workshop will be held from Sunday 3rd July - Friday 8th July, with booking for places opening in May. Booking forms will be released to societies and schools after Easter, and are available from the site "Downloads" section. If you would like further information on the workshop, please contact the AIMS National Secretary, Mary Butler or Registrar, Mairin Heffernan (see Here for details).
