Group Insurance Scheme
One of the good things about this scheme is that it is hoped it will be flexible enough to cover the many differing needs of musical societies. Unlike some other arts organisations, Musical Societies often require Employer’s Liability due to the fact they are often employing an orchestra, MD, director etc., With the below package you can receive €2.6million public liability cover and employer liability for €523.00 (correct at time of writing). Has your society joined up to the scheme yet? If not, you could be losing the chance to save your society some dosh! If you would like more information on the scheme, please contact our broker directly - Mr Colm Young, JPC Insurance Ltd - Telephone 01 4930112 For anyone currently involved in the DLI scheme, we would strongly encourage you to review the difference in the two schemes - unlike many drama groups, Musical Societies often employ many people as well as insurance of hired equipment and these may not necessarily be covered by your DLI Group scheme - this scheme was designed specifical for the needs of musical societies! Public Liability There are different levels of public liability cover available so that you can choose the one which suits your requirements:
The above public liability is to cover all meetings, rehearsals, 25 performances per year with a maximum audience of 500*, 5 fundraisers/social events (e.g. table quizzes, race nights, discos, raffles, cake sales, etc.) also member to member liability (max 75*) plus participation in Festivals – all within Ireland and the UK.
