2017 Societies & Shows

The 2016/2017 AIMS Adjudication and Awards Scheme has come to an end. This season saw 102 shows adjudicated by Peter Kennedy (Gilbert) and Greg Currid (Sullivan), up considerably from 90 in the previous season. This year, the Gilbert section had 53 shows and the Sullivan section had 49 shows.

The most popular shows this year features a mix of classic family favourites, alongside newer jukebox shows. This season, we had 7 productions of Oliver!, 6 productions of both All Shook Up and 9 to 5 The Musical and 5 productions of both Annie and Sweeney Todd

This season saw another good representation of new shows, with varying premiering productions of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Ghost, In The Heights, Starlight Express, American Idiot, Spamalot.

Nominations for the '16/'17 season will be announced on Sunday 21st May in New Ross, with the award winners being announced on Saturday 17th June in the INEC, Killarney.
