Passing of Paddy Smyth National Councillor and Shannon Musical Society
(24/03/2017) by Frank Foley

It is with deepest sadness that we learnt this morning of the death of Mr Paddy Smyth after an illness which he bore with great strength &determination.

Paddy was a long term stalwart member of Shannon MS and Ennis MS. He was also involved with Cecilians Limerick and LMS.
Paddy was a long term member of the AIMS National Council and Vice-Chairperson AIMS South-West Region

For many involved with AIMS, Paddy was known for snapping all the wonderful moments at the AIMS Awards weekends over the years.

He will be deeply missed by all involved in AIMS National Council, who even in illness still dedicated time and passion to this organisation.

Paddy  will be reposing in McMahon’s Funeral Home Shannon on Saturday 25th March from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

His Funeral Mass will take place on Sunday 26th March in Saint John & Paul's Church.

On behalf of all of us involved in AIMS and on the National Council we'd like to express our deepest sympathies to his beloved wife Mary and their family.

In time may their sorrow pass and the memories they hold dearly live on and remember Paddy's life, love and legacy .

Ar dheis De go raibh a anam

From all on the AIMS National Council
