Musical Societies celebrate 'When I Grow Up' for Children's Charities

At the Association of Irish Musical Societies AGM in Trim Co. MEATH a presentation of proceeds of the sales of the charity single 'When I Grow Up' from the musical Matilda featuring Shane Filan and young singer Grace Lee, was made .

 

The charity CD was recorded at a concert 'Encore' which was held in the Bord Gais Theatre Dublin to celebrate the golden anniversary of the Association of Irish Musical in Ireland. Presentations were made to representatives of the Children's Medical Research Foundation, Dublin and the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.

Receiving the cheques were Gerry Cully behalf of the Children's Medical Research Foundation and Nigel Kearney on behalf of the Helping Hand , Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children with sponsor Tom Byrne on behalf of Nolans Seafood Dublin. Presenting the cheques on behalf of the Association of Irish Musical Societies was Colm Moules, Avonmore Musical Society and National President and Seamus Power Vice President of AIMS, Carrick on Suir Musical Society.
