The AIMS Choral Festival invites your society to join us in New Ross from 21st - 23rd May for the 2010 festival.

Now in its 26th year our festival endeavours to maintain our tradition of hosting a quality weekend for both choral lovers and performers.

Our syllabus caters for a wide range of choirs and choral genres which range from sacred music to barbershop. With 20 competitions across two days of youth and adult competition, there is something to suit all types of choirs, be they large, small, male, female or mixed! The AIMS Choral Festival is firmly established as a premier event in the South East attracting choirs and musical societies from all over Ireland and abroad. Every year sees a blend of familiar and new choirs to New Ross and we hope you will choose to join us this year.

Due to the fall-off in entries in Sunday's Cameo Competition I, confined to members of AIMS, we have decided to make some changes to this year's format for the competition. It will now involve a number from a musical or light opera with a minimum of four voices but adjudication will be based on musical content only. Costume is optional and will not affect marking. We hope this will entice musical societies to enter the "Cameo" and we look forward to your feedback on the changes following the festival. The Friday School's Cameo remains in its original format.
